Judges may meet with students individually or in small teams.  These could include these could be Category Judges, Special/Recognition Award Judges, or a combination of both. These Judges may be joined at any time by Panel Chairs, Directors of Judging or other authorized CSEF observers and officials.

Duties and circumstances may occasionally require some judges, observers or officials to enter or leave.   Participants should expect this possibility, and not be alarmed, disturbed or surprised if this happens.

For the safety and peace of mind of our students, we are permitting, but in no way requiring, each student to have an adult observer physically present observing and monitoring their interviews.  These observers must remain silent during the interview and may not prompts, interact, interrupt, signal or in any way assist the participants at any point in the interview.  Any such interaction, except for the purposes of student safety and security, could effect the judging and result in disqualification.

All interviews shall be recorded for safety and security purposes.
